Hannah had a great time on Halloween. She was dressed as Sleeping Beauty, and she was ready long before the sun went down and the trick or treating started! She kept going to the door and looking out the window and saying, "Look - the sun's already down!", even when the sun was still shining. Lindsey was able to take off most of the afternoon, so he got to be part of the fun.
Hannah was a funny trick or treater; she kept saying, "Hooray, it's Halloween!" She knew she was supposed to say "trick or treat" when someone answered the door, but sometimes, when she faced by an adult holding out a big bowl of candy, she would just become mesmerized by the candy in front of her nose...just staring at it. So I would have to prompt her, "What do you say, Hannah?" Then she would say, "Trick or Treat!" and get the candy. She was so excited, she was skipping up the front walks to the houses! She has already decided she wants to be Tinkerbell for next Halloween - let's see how long that lasts!
I got some good video of her getting ready for Halloween, and going to a couple houses before it got too dark to see. But I'm having trouble getting the videos on my computer. The short videos my digital camera takes go on the computer with no problem, but I think I need a different cable or something to upload videos from the camcorder.
Yesterday, we went to a birthday party for one of our Travel Group 862 friends: Sydney, whose parents adopted her at the same time as we adopted Hannah. They're both Guangxi girls, but Sydney's from Yulin, and Hannah's from Nanning. We kept saying we couldn't believe how tall they are both getting. Sydney's just like Hannah - long, long legs! Hannah really enjoyed the party. It was at "Monkey Bizness", where they have inflated slides and bouncing rooms. Hannah went down a really tall slide all by herself.
