Happy Thanksgiving

We were originally planning to visit my family in Cincinnati over Thanksgiving, but we let the time get away from us and couldn't find a flight for under $2000 for all three of us. So we decided to go to Cincinnati for Christmas and stay here for Thanksgiving. We went to a buffet at a local restaurant and then to our friends, Beth and Tom's, for dessert. We had a lot of fun, especially at the dessert party. It was nice not to have any cooking to do or dishes to wash, but Thanksgiving is more fun with lots of family! Next year we are planning earlier so we can get a flight that doesn't cost an arm and leg.

More Hannah-isms:

Hannah's speech is so good now, that we don't get as many of the cute mispronunciations anymore. Bummer! But we do still get Hannah-isms.

• "Order a princess!" Once I was trying to chase Abby out of Hannah's room and I finally just had to push her out, telling her, "Get out, Abby!". Hannah pointed at me and said something in a pretty forceful tone. I couldn't really understand all the words, but the inflection was a quote from "Aladdin", which we had recently watched. She said, "Unhand him! By order of the princess!" (It sort of came out, "Onna him! Order a princess!"). She says it to me (pointing at me) every now and then when she wants to express her disagreement with one of my ideas about what she should do (like sit, don't jump, on the couch; pick up her crayons, etc.)
